FASHION ACADEMY (N.Z) LTD,  established in 1987 is a Private Training Establishment.  We are a Total Image Company specialising in Colour Analysis - Bodyline and Style, Wardrobe Planning & Grooming and Skincare and Cosmetics.  We also provide N.Z.Q.A. accredited courses in High schools throughout New Zealand.

Join our network of colour and style consultants throughout New Zealand and Australia conducting seminars and workshops for individuals, businesses, clubs, schools, and conferences. Fashion Academy also trains and advises Image Consultants on an ongoing basis for their individual businesses.

Our aim is to help you realise your personal potential through THE PERSONAL STYLE CONCEPT which includes programmes on COLOUR ANALYSIS, LINE AND STYLE, PERSONALITY, LIFESTYLE AND GROOMING, to increase self confidence, self esteem and bring organisation for a put together improved image.

OUR PURPOSE:

...is to provide you with the skills for giving expert advice, and to encourage and motivate your client to be the best that they can be. The focus is not on promoting the "ideal" shape, but to make the most of what every individual has to work with, assisting them to camouflage their challenges.

With proportional dressing, we show clients how to solve their figure challenges with the correct clothing choices. The main factor we take into consideration during these consultations are Line, Style, Personality and Lifestyle.

COLOUR DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

The basic principles of determining colour, body type, personality and lifestyle are much the same for men as they are for women. Skin tone, and colour of eyes and hair place you in one of four 'seasons'. If the dominant skin undertone is blue (cool), the individual is either a Winter or a Summer, if yellow (warm), either a Spring or an Autumn. We then go further to develop a palette to harmonise with the contrast of your features.

Once the 'season' is determined, as a Fashion Academy Consultant you can provide your client with a palette of colours to use as an aid in shopping. In this way you will be able to help them plan a wardrobe which will be compatible and harmonious with their skin tone, eyes and hair. Every garment will co-ordinate and be most flattering to them.
